"Blockheads in Sao Paulo, Brazil, have reportedly constructed the world's tallest Lego tower. Made from 500,000 pieces, the multicolored monolith rises 102 feet 3 inches.
It took a team of 6,000 builders four days to construct the tower, which bests a previous record set in Santiago, Chile, by about 1 foot."
Once I read it, I just had to find out where it was! We did a little research and found out that it was in a parking lot of a mall here in the city, and that it was only going to be up for one more day before they took it down. We thought the boys would really like to see it, so we took a spontaneous field trip!
And here she is!
Can you find the US flag?
They also had some other lego stuff on display. This was my personal favorite.
I loved the details... like the hole in the toe of the sock!
And the gray in the hair.
They also had lots of legos that the kids could play with. And I mean LOTS!
This was one of many boxes of legos.
The boys had fun building. Poor Judson wasn't allowed to play because he was under the age of five and they wouldn't let him play because of "choking hazards." He was so good though, and never even tried to touch a block. We made sure to tell him what a great job of obeying he did, and we didn't stay too long so as not to prolong the agony!!
We brought home a lego to save that says "Lego Tower - Brazil 2011" and a catalog of Lego products. Jonathan has decided he wants everything in the catalog, and Josiah thinks he could build a taller tower.
I'm glad we had this opportunity to make another memory with the kids.

COOL!!!
