Judson's Baptism

It was back in the fall of 2011 when Judson accepted Christ as his Savior. He was only four at the time, so we didn't address the subject of baptism immediately.

In the last few weeks, he came to us and said that he wanted to talk about being baptized. Jeremy told him we would talk about it, and again we waited to see if this was really something he was serious about. He came to us nearly every day wanting to know if we could talk about. It was something that he really wanted to do.

Last Sunday Jeremy had the privilege of baptizing him, and it was a sweet, special moment for us.

I love his expression here. He was very excited...and the water was very cold!

Party Time

It seems like we've been in birthday mode all week. Jonathan's birthday was on Tuesday, so that day he requested his favorite meals, and he opened his gift from us and his "birthday box" from Grandma.

Well done, Grandma!

The next few days were spent in preparation for the "big" party on Friday. He wanted to invite some friends over for games and, of course, cake and ice cream.

 The whole crew

He had a great time and we are thankful for the friends that God has put into his life.

Our Middle Guy is Turning Nine!

We were reminiscing this morning about the day he was born. He was by the far "easiest" labor for me and easiest recovery. He's always been an easy-going guy, from the beginning. Rather even-tempered and even-keel. But so tender hearted and thoughtful.

Jonathan is a very special treasure in our family, and we are proud of him and grateful to God for giving him to us.

Happy, Happy Birthday!
