Life on the Road

I had forgotten all the "joys" of living on the road...living out of suitcases, hours in the van, from hotel to hotel. We are quickly remembering! But we are also remembering how much of blessing it really can be. To meet face to face the people who pray for us, some daily. People who have been such an encouragement to us. People who have written us a note or email just when we thought we had been completely forgotten. People who talk to us about our ministry like they are a part of it, showing us that they read every letter and care about what is happening.

Oh sure it's hard sometimes, or many times, to not have our own home to go to, but overall we have had a great time seeing friends and family, and meeting new friends and "family."

Thank you for praying for us as we travel. Please continue to pray that we will have safety as we travel so many miles, and that we can be a blessing and encouragement to those whose paths we cross.

Catching Up

We recently returned from a 2 1/2 week trip to California. We were able to visit three of our supporting churches and it was great to see what the Lord is doing in those ministries. It is great to be able to see the faces of those who so faithfully pray for and encourage us. We truly enjoyed our time there.

We also enjoyed spending time with Jeremy's uncle and aunt who live in the Los Angeles area. They graciously allowed us to stay with them, and they spoiled us all while we were there. It was so much fun to spend time with family that we don't get to see very often.

The following posts are a summary of our time in southern California. We are thankful for the opportunities God gives us. We made many great memories!

Knott's Berry Farm

The grand finale of our trip was a trip to Knott's Berry Farm. The boys had such a blast! The Lord gave us beautiful weather that day, and there were so few people there that we didn't have to wait in lines at all the whole day. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the boys as they experienced new rides and hearing their squeals of joy.

Jeremy and his uncle are on the ride in this video. I almost rode, but chickened out. They take off and reach 80 mph in just 2-3 seconds.

Santa Monica Beach

We wanted to go to the beach while we were in California, but unfortunately it was gray and cool on the day we picked to go. The boys still enjoyed it, even though we all had to wear sweatshirts! The good thing was that there wasn't hardly anyone there, so we had the beach to ourselves!
Judson loved the sand!
Josiah and Jonathan tried to stay ahead of the waves.

Buena Vista Lake

We went with Jeremy's aunt and uncle to visit some of their relatives who were camping at this lake. They were so kind to the kids and took them out on the lake with their boat. This was our first experience around boats and lakes, and it was great! The boys loved it and would have spent all day in the water if they could have.

Here's a video of Josiah, Jonathan, and Jeremy on the tube

Americana Plaza - Glenwood, CA

We stopped at the Americana Plaza which is an upscale shopping area. We were, of course, just looking, but it gave us some good photo moments!

Judson had fun in the Apple store!

The boys are still car-lovers and enjoying seeing the different cars here in the States.

A View from the Plane

We've been spent many hours in the air lately flying to California and back. On the flight out there, we saw some beautiful scenery from the plane as we crossed the Rocky Mountains and the Grand Canyon. God's creation is truly beautiful!
