We were visiting some friends yesterday, and I had to take Judson to the restroom. He likes to asks lots of question while sitting on the potty. He pointed to the shower and asked how to open it. I showed him the door. Then he asked if there was a water boat in there. I said, "What? A water boat?" "Yeah," he said. "A boat to put water in. You know, like Mimi has in her bathroom." Then I realized what he was talking about. "You mean a bathtub?" I asked. "Yeah!"
You know you're a missionary if...your kids don't remember what a bathtub is called!!
Haha! That's hilarious Amanda! I miss you guys all so much!!
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, I'd like to say I can relate fully, but the 2nd bathroom in our apartment had a bathtub! I know, we were spoiled! :)
Awww! Bless his heart! ....though I know that he is having a wonderful life serving the Lord in His perfect will. Missionary kids really aren't missing out on anything! What opportunities they have have that others don't.
ReplyDeleteMy parents were here 2 weeks ago, along with cousins. When they left, my kids cried and it tears my heart out. However, it makes me happy to know that they don't take them for granted, and are learning how much they love them.
Now... you'll call it the water boat, and have such a wonderful memory:)
Kristy, You are right, he's not really missing out on anything. And actually there are many things in the US that I am glad they are "missing out on." The hardest part is definitely being so far from family and friends. The internet is a blessing because it make continents seem much closer!
