Thanksgiving Day

Naturally Thanksgiving is not a holiday here in Brazil, but we have always made it a point to celebrate it with the Americans that we are near. It's odd to be making and enjoying a Thanksgiving dinner when everything and everyone around is 'business as usual.'

It can also be a challenge to prepare the traditional menu when some vital ingredients are hard or impossible to find, {such as pumpkin, TURKEY, sweet potatoes, cranberries, pecans, cream of anything soup, french fried onions, to name a few}  but we overcame the hurdles and had an amazing dinner that was worth all the extra effort.

Check out these HOMEMADE french fried onions made by my friend, Julie!

We have so much to be thankful for. God has been so good to us. We are truly blessed. I hope that we will remember to be grateful each and every day, and not just on Thanksgiving day.
