Campos do Jordão

After I finished my language school classes, Jeremy and I took a trip away for a few days. We were planning to go to the beach, but the weather turned cool, so we decided to go to the mountains instead. We went to Campos do Jordão, which could be compared to Gatlinburg, TN, only on a much smaller scale. It was so refreshing to get out of the noisy city and enjoy a few days in a quiet peaceful place with fresh, clean mountain air!

Our first stop was this scenic overlook. It was beautiful!

This animal is called a quati. They were very fond of tourists, I think because they fed them snacks!

That evening we checked into our inn, and then found a fondue restaurant. It was really good! All you can eat steak and chicken fondue, bread with cheese fondue, and for dessert, fruit with chocolate fondue. (Sorry there are no pictures, but I forgot my camera that evening!)

We spent the next day taking in all the scenery. It made me miss Tennessee.

This was a beautiful inn...that we didn't stay in.
Where we stayed wasn't nearly this nice, and it's a story of it's own

We drove to another mountain peak, and it was amazing how far you could see.
The pictures are a little hazy, but the view was breath-taking.

Brazil is diverse and beautiful, and I am enjoying getting to experience different areas.
