Finally Home!!

Yesterday we arrived home to Powell, TN after 10 1/2 weeks of traveling! We were all very excited to be in our own home. The boys got very giddy when they started recognizing the scenery near our house. Jonathan told us that he likes living in our own home. Me too! We have had such a good trip and the Lord has been so good to us. We had some great experiences and met many wonderful people. We stayed in some beautiful homes while we were traveling, but there is just something special about being home.

After I last posted, we have been away from internet access, so here is a quick update. We left Wyoming and headed toward Kansas. We were able to stop in Longmont, CO to meet and spend a few days with John Kokenzie’s parents. (We will be working with John and his wife Julie in Brazil.) We enjoyed getting to know them, and we had a great visit. We felt like we have known them forever. Then we had two meetings in Kansas. One of them was with Matt and Jeri Lyn Wilkerson who used to attend our church here in Tennessee. It was alot of fun to see them again, and our kids had a blast playing with their eight kids. They are so pleasant to be around. I'll try to post a few more pictures of the end of our trip later.

On the way home we stopped for a few days in Illinois to visit with my family. My sister Kerri and her family will be returning to Haiti in July, so we wanted to see them again before they leave, and don't know if we will have another opportunity. We had a great time. Josiah turned 5 while we were on the road on May 29th, and my niece Katie turned 5 on June 3rd, so we had a birthday party for them together while we were there. Josiah ended up having three birthday cakes this year, because we were in Kansas on his birthday, and some of the people there made cakes for him. Grandma also got another little cake for Judson. This time he was feeling much better, and he loved the cake!! He was on a sugar high!

And now we are home for a while. We are praying for the Lord to give us more meetings. At this time we don't have any scheduled until August. We are glad to have a little break from traveling, but we are also anxious to raise our support and head to Brazil. Thanks for keeping up with us and praying for us.

It had been a long day of playing hard, so the kids weren't too photogenic!

It was a cute cake. I missed making him one, but this was good...and easy!

Judson really enjoyed his cake!
