Back Again

We arrived back in Washington yesterday. We were away from internet and cell phone access for a few days. We had a great time in Idaho. We were at Bonners Ferry Baptist Church. The pastor and his wife are friends of ours that we knew from college. They came out to Idaho about 2 years ago and started this church. It was fun to spend some time with them. They have four little boys, so our kids had a great time with them and didn't want to leave. The weather was great while we were there so the kids got to play outside alot. It's amazing that seven little boys can play together and get along without any major incidents!

It is beautiful in northern Idaho. I couldn't even begin to describe it and do it any justice. We stayed in a camper next to the pastor's house. They live quite a ways out of town and very much in the woods. We saw lots of deer, but no moose! We did see some elk, but they were tame ones on an elk ranch. We did see some bald eagles!

We were only eight miles from Canada, so we went over the border, just to say that we had been there! We went to a small town just over the border. Gas is about $5 a gallon there (but they sell it by the liter.) Other than everything using the metric system, it didn't look much different than the US, but we were only a few miles inside the country. We looked and looked for some kind of souvenier, but we weren't in a tourist area, so we couldn't find anything.

We are now back in Spokane, and we will be here until next Monday. We are in a nice hotel room, so we are settling in for a few days. Home sweet hotel!!

Thanks for praying for us!
