I'm still in denial that I have an EIGHT year old! How did that happen!?! We are very proud of Josiah. He is a good student and a good helper at home. He is a quick study and loves to read. He is tender hearted, and we are grateful to see the Lord working in his life. We are anxious to see what God accomplishes with the life of our special boy!
I thought sparkler candles would be appropriate on this patriotic cake, but unfortunately we couldn't get them to both light at the same time! It was still fun.
Oh, wow! I LOVE that cake! How did you do that? Is that blue and red frosting, or fondant, or something else? Love it! Happy birthday, Josiah!
ReplyDeleteValerie, The blue and red is fondant. The white is just regular buttercream frosting, and I piped the stars on with a star tip and buttercream. I have a great recipe for fondant. If you're interested let me know!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, you did a great job! I've never worked with fondant. I'd love to have the recipe, if it's not too hard! lol!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe he's 8!! I know I say this every year! Are we old?! :( haha The cake looks awesome!! And thank you so much for turning me on to marshmallow fondant! :) Hope Siah had a great birthday!
