I finally got up the nerve to go to the hair salon here. I know that probably sounds ridiculous, but I was just really nervous about trying to communicate with them. I had a hard enough time trying to say what I wanted in English! Anyway, I hadn't had a good haircut since we came here and my hair was really beginning to be very sad, so when I couldn't stand it anymore, I decided to just wing it.
And the results....
I was really happy with the way it turned out! I figured I should take a picture, because it may never look like this again!! I am convinced she had a magic hairbrush, because I have never been able to do with my hair what she did. It's a little shorter than I had anticipated, but I like it. However, I haven't left it curly yet, so I'm not sure what that will be like! If I have to, I'll just keep straightening it for a while until it grows out some.
Not being sure if I could just walk-in at the salons here, I left the house saying that I was going to try to get my hair cut. I came home and walked in the door, and Josiah said, "Did you get a haircut?" Such a man!
You look bee-ootiful, dah-ling! You are so brave...love it! And, haha, I love Siah's response! lol
ReplyDeleteLooks good... mmmm... I never thought of that:) Sometimes even people that speak English can't understand how to cut hair!
