I have been trying to post this for several days, but for some reason haven't been able to get on this website. Hopefully I will be able to get it fixed and post more regularly!
2010 has arrived! We brought in the new year at a watch night service at the Primeira Igreja de Parque Bristol. It was an exciting experience to observe New Years' Eve here in Brazil. We were hearing firecrackers most of the day, and when we arrived at the church at 9:00 pm, there were already many fireworks going off. We had a good service, played a few games, and of course ate some delicious food. Just before midnight we had a time of prayer, and at the stroke of midnight we felt like we were in a war zone. The noise was unbelievable. I'm not sure I've ever seen that many firework in my life. They were going off in all directions. It was a little rainy, but that didn't dampen our excitement. Josiah was jumping up and down and yelling. He loved it! Jonathan got a little tired of the noise, and Judson was quite scared! The fireworks continued for almost an hour! We are excited about what God has for us in 2010!
