Yesterday we gathered with a group of American missionaries, and celebrated Independence Day. We all donned our red, white, and blue apparel and had a good old American cookout with hamburgers, hot dogs, potato salad, baked beans and all the fixings. We spent the day eating, playing games and having a great time of fellowship. We ended it all with a small fireworks display. I am thankful for the fellow Americans and friends that the Lord has allowed us to get to know here in Brazil.

It is different in another country. It seems especially hard here, because Canadians are offended by American patriotism. Shhhh... sometimes I just add a little blue in on Canada Day:)
